Extensive tests and evaluations on the patented technology have been reported in the ASHRAE Journal in 2003. Tests at Vertex confirm the same formation of rounded amorphous crystals in the treated water. In addition, there is a reduction in ph of 0.1 to 0.3 in the treated water. This leads to the elimination of existing scale. Tests show that 10-grain hardness treated water will use 5% less soap than untreated water.
How does the HardWaterWizard™ Electronic Water Softener Work?
The signal cable is wrapped externally around pipe. The HardWaterWizard produces an oscillating electrical field inside the water pipe alternating at 1,000 to 12,000 cycles/sec. The complex modulated signal field at variable frequency induces an electrical field in the pipe which alters the hard water ions and increases their solubility. The continuously changing frequency alters the property of the hard water molecules by changing them to soft crystals. This also increases their solubility. The water becomes less saturated with calcium and is able to dissolve existing scale.
