Cleaning Floors Steam Volume Tools or Accessories Hints & Techniques
Vinyl Tile or Sheet Goods Low – Med Large brush + filler pad + towel, extension tubes, nozzle w/nylon nozzle brush, triangle brush Sweep or vacuum first: mop with large brush, corners and baseboards w/nozzle brush or large nozzle brush; do by sections using continuous motion, heavily soiled areas use triangle brush, no towel.
Quarry Tile, Slate, Ceramic Tile & Grout Low-Med Large brush + towel on front clips only, nozzle w/ nylon nozzle brush Sweep or vacuum first: mop w/large brush, flip towel under brush to finish wipe, use nozzle brush on grout lines and wipe away loosened dirt.
Hardwood Low Large brush + towel, extension tubes Fix towel to large brush, heat with steam “on”, reduce or turn steam off and mop floor, repeat as towel cools. Towel should be hot and moist, not wet.
Smooth Concrete Med-High Large brush + towel on front clips only, triangle brush Sweep or vacuum first; mop w/large brush, flip towel under brush to finish wipe, use nozzle brush or triangle brush for heavily soiled areas.
Wax Removal Med-High Triangle brush, extension tubes Treat by section w/triangle brush, no towel, Do twice, wipe away soils. DO NOT OVERHEAT

Wall to wall, Maintenance, Area Rugs Med Large brush + filler pad + towel, extension tubes Vacuum and then PRE-STEAM w/triangle brush or large brush a 6 x 6 area at 6″ above the surface. Attach towel to large brush and wipe in two directions – the second at right angles to the first. Stubborn areas may be pre-treated with a light application of gentle detergent (Formula 212 encapsulate cleaner) followed with steam treatment.

Nozzle or Steam gun When using nozzle or steam gun on spots, stay 4″ – 6″ from carpet surface. Blot spot w/towel, repeat as necessary, DO NOT OVERHEAT
*  Vapor steam cleaners will clean carpets if they are not extremely soiled or worn. If your carpets are terribly stained and dirty, they should be professionally cleaned first and then gone over with the vapor steam cleaner to sanitize the carpeting and remove the chemicals left behind. Vapor steam cleaners are best suited for light cleaning, maintenance and spot removal and will take longer to use than water extraction cleaning machines. Vapor steam cleaners are excellent in killing bacteria, fleas and dust mites, and in removing chemicals and odors from carpeting and other surfaces. It is important to vacuum your carpets before and after using your vapor steam cleaner. The heated steam from the steam cleaner will draw dirt, hair, etc. to the surface where vacuuming will remove it.

Clean and freshen wainscot, walls and ceilings with out resorting to stools and ladders, or having to stoop and bend to clean lower areas. No need for drop clothes to cover surrounding furniture or equipment, or messy, heavy water buckets . The process is mess free, quiet and fast. Very quick to dry as well. Great for pre-paint cleaning, dust and mold removal.

Walls & Ceilings Steam Volume Tools or Accessories Hints & Techniques
Painted, paneling, wallpaper Low Triangle brush or large brush + filler pad + towel, extension tubes Painted walls, wallpaper, wood paneling are heat sensitive. Always use 2, preferably 3 layers of towel on brushes when treating these surfaces. Do not dwell on any one area too long – treat once, let cool and retreat. On heavily soiled areas, pre-steam w/nozzle 6″ from surface and then use brush w/towel.
Acoustical Tile Low Triangle brush or large brush + filler pad + towel, extension tubes Towel surface may be pre-treated w/gentle detergent (Formula 212) mist to help loosen soil. On wood paneling move quickly, check towel surface for color transfer. WALLPAPER REMOVAL – use nozzle on seams, wallpaper stripper on large areas. Use triangle brush w/towel to remove residual paste.
Vents Med-High Nozzle, sm/med nozzle brush, extension tubes, large brush + tri brush + filler pads + towel Wipe vent surface w/large brush w/towel. Pre-treat with nozzle if necessary. For louvered vents, use nozzle with nozzle brush and towel.

Freshen, deodorize, and brighten upholstered surfaces, remove spots, kill germs and dust mites in mattresses, remove pet hair and kill fleas and their eggs. Sanitize everything in a baby’s nursery without harmful chemicals and detergents. Kill germs on toy surfaces, even stuffed animals!

Test in inconspicuous location prior to treatment. Some velour’s are very heat sensitive and may deform. Pre-steam area with steam gun at 6″ from surface. Use triangle brush w/towel over surface working in two directions. Towel should be hot & moist, not wet. Use nozzle on seam lines at 2″ from surface, wipe away dirt with towel. Condition leathers after treating.

Light dust – open blind 1/2 way & use nozzle on med – high from 4″ away. Caution – This plastic blinds may be deformed by too much heat. Use care. Heavy or greasy dust – shut blind, mist w/mild detergent, use nozzle at 4″ from surface, wipe immediately w/towel. Vertical vinyl – triangle brush w/towel on one side and large brush w/towel on opposite side – top to base switch sides.

Windows & Glass Steam Volume Tools or Accessories Hints & Techniques
Windows, Mirrors, Window Screens Med Window cleaning tool, triangle brush w/towel, extension tube(s) Pre-steam glass w/steam gun at 6″ from surface or use triangle brush w/towel over entire surface the first cleaning. Follow up with window tool. Wipe squeegee blade often. Avoid cracked mirrors, or windows. Use triangle brush w/towel on screens. Use nozzle without brush in tracks – cover w/towel as you work.
Window Frames

Nozzle w/nozzle brush extension tube(s), towel Use nozzle + brush to renew frame area, latches, etc. Use towel over nozzle brush to finish and polish.
