Room humidification is especially important in cold weather months. Many people instinctively try to humidify room air by opening a window to let fresh air in. While the air that streams into the room provides a fresh supply of oxygen, it contains very little moisture to humidify warm room air sufficiently. This is because cold outside air cannot hold much moisture. Opening a window actually causes the room air to be more dry than it was with the window closed, making the problem even worse. If moisture is not added artificially, the air will try to quench its thirst by taking moisture from our skin, mucous membranes, plants, wooden furniture, etc.

The AOS-1355 Air Washer and Humidifier features special humidifier discs that turn constantly through water. This method removes many impurities (e.g. dust, pollen and particle-bound odors) from the air - as in Nature, where the rain washes the air clean. This process also renders traditional replacement filters unnecessary. The Air Washer and Humidifier works on the self-regulating evaporation principle and thus it requires no additional control systems to ensure optimal air humidity.
