Room humidification is especially important in cold weather months. Many people instinctively try to humidify room air by opening a window to let fresh air in. While the air that streams into the room provides a fresh supply of oxygen, it contains very little moisture to humidify warm room air sufficiently. This is because cold outside air cannot hold much moisture. Opening a window actually causes the room air to be more dry than it was with the window closed, making the problem even worse. If moisture is not added artificially, the air will try to quench its thirst by taking moisture from our skin, mucous membranes, plants, wooden furniture, etc.

How Does the AOS-2055 Air Washer and Humidifier Work?
The AOS-2055 Super Air Washer and humidifier features special humidifier discs that turn constantly through water. This method removes many impurities from the air - as in Nature, where the rain washes the air clean. This process also renders traditional replacement filters unnecessary. The Air Washer and humidifier works on the self-regulating evaporation principle and thus it requires no additional control systems to ensure optimal air humidity. And, the AOS 2055 air washer and humidifier is equipped with a special anti-bacterial protection system - the Ionic Silver Stick. The new and innovative ISS makes use of the proven anti-microbial qualities of silver. Silver is effective against more than 650 types of bacteria and viruses. Finally, for super-enhanced particulate adhesion, the AOS 2055 Super Air Washer is fitted with a pre-ionizer which causes the dust particles to form clusters. Because of the size of these clusters, they are easily captured by the constantly rotating discs. All that's left is pure, clean, humidified air.
